Five Ways to Make Your Car More Comfortable
The only time some cars get any modifications is when they are handed over to a mechanic for repairs. But for many of us that is not enough. If you spend a lot of time on the road, your car becomes more than just a means of getting from A to B. It can be as much a part of your living space as your lounge or your office. It makes sense therefore to make it as comfortable as possible. Follow our suggestions and you will find your vehicle a more enjoyable place to be.
Seats
The most obvious area to address to improve the comfort levels of your vehicle is the seating. Contoured backrests can provide extra support and prevent the build up of tension on long journeys. Buying a seat cover made from a softer and more comfortable fabric is another simple and cost effective way of making your car more comfortable. If you are still not happy with your seats you could always consider replacing them entirely. It may seem like a drastic move, but nothing will impact more directly on your comfort.
Sun protection
In warm climates the sun can play a big part in making your car a less than pleasant place to be. Assuming that your air conditioning system is in good working order, the next most important tool you have for keeping cool is shade. Tinted windows will protect you from the glare of the sun make driving an easier and more pleasant experience. Buying a reflective sunshade to put in your vehicle when you are parked in the sun is an inexpensive way to make it feel less like an oven on your return. Whenever possible, park indoors or in the shade. Not only will this make your car more comfortable but it will also protect its interior, which over long periods can become damaged by the sun.
Clean you car
As simple as it sounds, keeping the interior of your car clean and tidy will make a big difference to your comfort levels. Don’t leave clothes or other possessions lying on the back seat and don’t let rubbish build up; clear it out after every journey. Consider ?installing an air cleaning system. There are some simple devices available that plug into your car’s cigarette lighter.
Maintain you car
Maintaining your vehicle and regularly booking it in for a car service is important not only for safety reasons, but also for comfort. You will have peace of mind that your car is in good condition and you won’t be put off while driving by worrying little noises that you can’t explain. Moreover your car is a finely tuned machine. Minor problems with parts such as the suspension or tyres will directly affect the ride comfort. Look after your car and it will look after you.
Sound system
If you spend a lot of time in your car, then you will need to find ways of keeping yourself entertained. If you are passionate about music then upgrading your sound system could make a huge difference to your life. Instead of being chores to be endured, long journeys will become opportunities to indulge, uninterrupted, in one of your favourite pleasures.

It’s interesting to know that contoured backrests are the optimal kind of seat to prevent chronic back pain when driving. I will sure keep that in mind since back pain has been my problem ever since I started driving my truck to work daily. Maybe I should also invest in good cushions.
